Amlin Corporate Insurance joins Fecc

Amlin Corporate Insurance has joined the European Association of Chemical Distributors (Fecc) as an affiliate member. Amlin is one of the leading insurers of large and medium sized companies in The Netherlands and Belgium.

“We are delighted to have Amlin on board,” said Hendrik Abma, Fecc Director General. “FECC represents a number of chemical distribution companies that fit Amlin’s customer profile. Minimising risk is one of the priorities of anyone in our industry and getting the best possible coverage is part of that goal.”

Jaap Gispen, Amlin Executive Vice President, said: “Amlin recognises the importance of Fecc’s work for the chemical distribution sector. As insurers, it’s in our interest to promote best practice and safety in distribution. We’re glad to be able to cooperate more closely with this crucial industry.”

Fecc has nearly doubled its membership in the last years with distribution companies Ter Hell, Welding GMBH & Co KG and Telko Oy as the latest additions. Fecc represents, directly or indirectly, over 1,200 chemical distribution companies, often small and medium sized enterprises (SME’s). These companies employ more than 40,000 employees and supply over 1 million downstream users.
