The board of Fecc is glad to announce the appointment of Dorothee Arns as the new Director General of Fecc, starting as of 3rd June 2019. Fecc President, Dr Neville Prior, and the whole board warmly congratulate the new Director General and look forward to working with her to further contribute to the chemical business community.

Dr Neville Prior commented: “I am very pleased that Dorothee Arns is joining Fecc and I am sure she will bring the organisation to its next stage of growth and advancement.”

Of German nationality, Dorothee Arns, is a seasoned public affairs professional with a proven track record of successful association management and a commercial background. In her current role as Executive Director of Petrochemicals Europe at Cefic and beforehand as Director General of the European Solvents Industry Group from 2006 to 2011 she has built up an extensive network of contacts within the EU Institutions and far beyond.

Thanks to her extensive experience as senior manager in different positions at BASF SE, Fecc will benefit from her knowledge and vision to successfully implement the organisation’s strategy. Dorothee studied in Germany, Ireland and Spain and holds Master degrees in business administration and in applied languages & linguistics.

The Fecc Board reiterates its gratitude to Sylvain Bougoin - Director General interim - for his time and dedication to Fecc after Cathy Demeestere’s end of mandate.
