Fecc elects Peter Bigler as New Association President

Vienna, 14 September 2026 - Fecc is pleased to announce the election of Peter Bigler, Board-Member of Harke-Group, as its new Association President, effective as of today.

Peter Bigler brings along over 30 years of experience in the distribution sector, acquired in various global leadership positions of major chemical distribution companies. He has also been serving as long-standing Board member of Fecc. In his new role, Peter will oversee the association’s strategic direction, champion key industry initiatives, and support the diverse needs of the more than 1,600 companies that Fecc is representing via direct membership and 14 national associations from all parts of Europe.

Bigler succeeds former Fecc-President Lars Wallstein, Co-CEO of Oqema, who led the organization with distinction during the past 5 years.

"I am incredibly honored to be chosen to lead Fecc at such a pivotal moment for our industry," said Peter Bigler. “Fecc has established itself very well as unique platform for collaboration across the entire chemical value chain, which is more than ever needed in these fragmented, increasingly complex times. We will continue and intensify to raise our voice on behalf of this industry, which is critical for a sustainable and economically sound future of Europe."
