The restriction on PFAS will affect all PFAS market with a need of substitution for most applications. On February 7, 2023, the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) published the REACH restriction proposal for per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), which was prepared by the governments of Denmark, Germany, the Netherlands, Norway, and Sweden. The proposed restriction would implement a near-total ban on the manufacture, sale, and use of all PFAS substances, including fluoropolymers.

In this webinar, we will analys the restriction process, the impact in our industry and what the next steps are to be foreseen under these circumstances. In particular the following topics will be covered:

  • PFAS REACH restriction proposal
  • Tentative timeline of EU PFAS REACH Restriction
  • PFAS REACH restriction public consultation
