Presentation: How can Food Safety Standards mitigate the risk of food fraud?

Product fraud encompasses a wide range of deliberate fraudulent acts which are economically motivated and trigger serious consequences for consumers and businesses. This is particularly a concern for the food and feed industry. In addition to the legislative requirements, which have been enacted to prevent product fraud, and subsequent enforcement activities on both national and international level, Industry bodies such as the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) have advocated for food safety schemes, such as the International Featured Standards (IFS), to introduce and implement systems to mitigate the risk of food fraud.
This webinar will cover this set of standards and endeavors to provide an understanding of how good practices can be applied to meet these requirements in relation to the scope of the specific standard.

Q&A (11:50 am - 12:00 pm)

Closure (12:00 pm) (Dorothee Arns)
