Access2Markets: the new portal launched

Exporting from the EU, importing into the EU - all you need to know

On 13 October the European Commission officially launched their new Access2Market portal, which is a multi-dimensional, very user-friendly digital tool with a lot of extremely useful, practical information for all companies with activities in international trade, be it intra-EU or imports & exports with non-EU countries. It merges two formerly existing and less intuitively-usable databases (Market Access Data Base and Helpdesk) into 1 single information point, optimized also for use by smartphone and available in several European languages and comprising all necessary export/import infos for 120 countries on:  tariffs, (national and regional) taxes, rules of origin – including a self-assessment tool called ROSA, product requirements (e.g. labelling), customs procedures, trade barriers, all EU free-trade agreements and even trade flow statistics by individual goods and country.
